Christopher Voolaid
Conductor. Deal-Maker. Strategist.
Catalyst for Growth & Strategiest for Success
Christopher Voolaid is a conductor, deal-maker, and strategist — orchestrating growth, commanding complex deals, and steering ventures with precision. He doesn’t just play the game; he moves the pieces before others even see the board.
His unique ability to turn uncertainty into opportunity sets him apart. Where others see obstacles, Christopher engineers pathways. Where others hesitate, he executes. His work isn’t just about growth — it’s about building empires and shaping enduring legacies.
As Board Chairman and Founding Partner at QLA, Christopher leads with sharp strategy, operational firepower, and decisive deal-making, driving transformational outcomes for businesses and investors alike.

In December 2024, Christopher laid bare the year’s triumphs, trials, and turning points in his signature no-nonsense style.
With a sharp focus on culture, leadership, and the future of QLA, he outlined a bold vision and the audacious goals we aim to conquer by next December.
A Legacy Forged Over Generations

Christopher Voolaid’s heritage is one of resilience, leadership, and strategic wealth management. His lineage traces back to landowners, estate stewards, and merchants who shaped Estonia’s history — figures like Mart Papp (born 1830) and Jüri Oldermann (born 1850), who played key roles in noble estates. From managing land under Baltic-German aristocracy to navigating trade and finance, his ancestors mastered the art of influence.
QLA Family Office is a modern continuation of this legacy — preserving and growing wealth with the same precision and foresight that defined generations before. Wealth isn’t just managed; it’s orchestrated.
Professional Journey
Christophers’ professional journey has been defined by a commitment to fostering positive change and executing strategies for long-term success.
Born in Paide, Estonia, he set out early with a vision — to build a legacy that endures +2000 years. At 15, he conceptualized a business designed for longevity, driven resilience and adaptability.
Fueling My Entrepreneurial Passion
During my studies, I participated in a business and economics Olympiad. Inspired by my competitors and neighbors, Ragnar and Rainer Lusmägi, who launched a student firm, I read Secrets of the Millionaire Mind by T. Harv Eker, sparking my passion for finance and entrepreneurship. Still unsure how to start, I focused on building my network, connecting with experienced business owners and investors to learn about entrepreneurship and investment.

Entrum

Entrum was a competition and development program for entrepreneurial ideas aimed at schoolchildren, launched by Eesti Energy in 2010.

Serving in Logistics Battalion
I served and completed training as a sharpshooter, machine gunner, and ADR-certified fuel truck driver.
Key takeaways: discipline, mental toughness, and the ability to stay calm and decisive under pressure — lessons that have shaped how I approach every challenges.

Working in Hospitality Sector
After serving in the Estonian Defence Forces, I worked in the hospitality sector, often doing 12+ hour shifts in restaurants before starting my university studies.
Key takeaways: customer service skills and teamwork.

University Studies
I enrolled at Tallinn University to study Public Relations, Marketing, and Communications, where I also gained knowledge in risk analysis, organizational structure, and leadership.
Later, I continued my studies at Estonian Business School, focusing on Entrepreneurship and Business Management.
Formal thesis submission remains in progress at both universities.

Working in U.S.

Demonstrated strong leadership capabilities by managing and motivating teams, optimizing operational processes, and steering organizational development. Applied strategic thinking to exceed sales targets while fostering customer relationships and brand loyalty.

Start in the Financial Sector
Began my career in the pension fund industry, focusing on fundraising for LHV pension funds.
Successfully raised over €5m, developing strong investor relations and gaining valuable experience in financial products, capital raising, and long-term asset management strategies.

Founding of QLA
I co-founded QLA with Kristo Rosin. In the early days, we focused on providing lead generation and sales services.
Our first major win was securing a tender with Tele2, a leading Nordic telecommunications service provider.
